From its earliest habitation, Maui’s balmy climate has invited an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Polynesians brought with them the pitched roofs and high ceilings that keep dwellings comfortable in tropical weather—a design element that famed Hawai‘i architect C. W. Dickey borrowed in the early decades of the last century, and made his own. The homes at Hokulani Golf Villas will feature Dickey-style roofs, high ceilings, and expansive lanais for outdoor living; this is island architecture at its most gracious. Six distinct one- and two-story models are available, each with two or three bedrooms (including a master suite), great room, den, and enclosed garage with courtyard access. Hokulani’s community association will pro-fessionally maintain the recreation pavilion and all grounds, leaving you free to enjoy all that Maui has to offer.
